The Gold Standard

It seems like gold foil is all the rage these days.  There are so many beautiful stationary products incorporating gold right now, and it reminded us of our very first press that we purchased-the Kingsley foil stamping machine!  We had to dig in some crates to find it for the photos, and it was a little questionable to use-the cord was one of those old ones made of cloth, and fraying.  But is certainly inspired us!

We are unable to attend a couple of weddings this year but fortunately found these lovely cards from fellow letterpressers One Canoe Two!

Hey America, Happy Bday!

Happy Birthday USA!  The town of Truckee is packed this weekend.  The realization dawned of how lucky we are to live here when seeing all the folks coming up to the mountains for a little slice of this life.  A couple of weeks ago some friends and I walked from Sugar Bowl ski resort to Squaw Valley, along the Pacific Crest Trail.  Then too there was a profound sense of awe at where we live.
Have a great holiday and if you can enjoy the beautiful outdoors!
