I heard a lady on the radio who described drawing things that she wanted to buy instead of purchasing them.  I thought that was such a great idea and I decided to give it a shot myself.  You see the hubs and I are trying to save to buy a house and it can be a challenging thing to do with all the wonderful stuff (and online shopping!) there is to buy.  This way I sorta have the thing I wanted-albeit in a different format.

This first drawing is a rug from the ever so tempting West Elm.  You can go ahead an expect more drawings from West Elm.

I think it cost around $1000.

As a printmaking company flat files are really imperative.  They can take a good chunk out of the checking account though.  We found ours on craigslist, and they were reasonably priced.  They are the home for all of our prints and we couldn't live without them!
