So, Tahoe doesn't have a lot of really old preserved buildings.  As someone who swoons over craftsmen cottages and beautiful victorian homes I've felt a little at a loss living here.  BUT, there is a lot of rad mid century around the lake.  Since the weather has been very mild, my co-pilot (toddler son) and took a drive around the lake hunting it out.  Here's some of what we found.

I heard a lady on the radio who described drawing things that she wanted to buy instead of purchasing them.  I thought that was such a great idea and I decided to give it a shot myself.  You see the hubs and I are trying to save to buy a house and it can be a challenging thing to do with all the wonderful stuff (and online shopping!) there is to buy.  This way I sorta have the thing I wanted-albeit in a different format.

This first drawing is a rug from the ever so tempting West Elm.  You can go ahead an expect more drawings from West Elm.
