I made this illustration based on the view of Mt Jefferson from Mt Hood. On a clear day if you are looking south from Mt Hood you can miles of undulating forest and a very dramatic peak in the distance. I love this view so much and for years have wanted to turn it into a landscape print.
I used somewhat muted colors for this print. I wanted it to feel more like the winter view, winter sky, than the brighter summer colors you would see.
There are eight color layers to this print. Every color has to have its own relief plate and have a separate pass through the press.
